Comment Interlude:  So the metro system in Barcelona is really quite amazing.  Not only are there underground trains (similar to SF muni), which will take you pretty much anywhere, but there is also an intricate bus system to get you to all of the places in between (also similar to SF muni, but on a much grander scale).  However, the metro tunnels are SO FREAKING HOT!  Oh my god I cannot express the incredible lack of ventilation...  I guess it's only to be expected, but I do not recall the SF underground being this hot.  It's really something else.  I'm sure I will appreciate the heat in the dead of winter, but right now it just feels like being in the inside of someone's mouth who hasn't brushed or flossed in a long long while.
Hey, there's me and a little blue door.
I know a few cat ladies (and men) who will appreciate this as much as I do.  Kitties!
Leftovers from a wedding.
No words....
Hey, what's this 'rubia' doing here?
ummm.... AMAZING sand castle.  Holy shit.
Today I went to a place called Sitges (above photos depict...).  Sitges is a beautiful beach town on the coast of Spain, about a 30 minute train ride outside of Barcelona y si, e un poco pijo, pero que hermosa.  Here is the coastline from a church that sits right at the edge.

My room!

We're done!  We are officially moved in, all of the cardboard crap is gone, our laundry is finally finished, and we have cooked our first meal: eggs with bell pepper (simple, yet satisfying).

After a long and exhausting two days of moving, we are finally spending our first night in the new place.  The process is still not completely finished, but we feel pretty great nonetheless.

This is my dream car (if I ever decide to go down that path).

Visually Pleasing
One of my favorite things: century plants.
One of the many mosaic stone walls that make Parc Guell (home of Gaudi)
A view from the top.

Today I ended up in a very strange part of Barcelona.  I guess it would just be considered the industrial part of the city, but there weren't really sidewalks... it was odd.

Washing  machines and dryers cost a total of 6.75 Euros.  Uh...Yeah right.  Solution= hand washing and line drying.  Our room looks so great right now.

We found an apartment!  I feel as if a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.  More on this later...

This is not an exaggeration.  I'm convinced that Barcelona's mosquito population is on steroids.  This depicts my most recent bug bite.  Now, when I first noticed the welt (my first bite) on my other calf I thought that maybe it was a spider bite (creepy), but this time I KNOW it's a mosquito because I saw it bite me.  Note: I haven't even scratched this bite yet (hence why some mosquito bites grow so large because the poison gets spread out) so this is its natural progression.  Ridiculous huh?  I sure think so.
