Comment Interlude: So the metro system in Barcelona is really quite amazing. Not only are there underground trains (similar to SF muni), which will take you pretty much anywhere, but there is also an intricate bus system to get you to all of the places in between (also similar to SF muni, but on a much grander scale). However, the metro tunnels are SO FREAKING HOT! Oh my god I cannot express the incredible lack of ventilation... I guess it's only to be expected, but I do not recall the SF underground being this hot. It's really something else. I'm sure I will appreciate the heat in the dead of winter, but right now it just feels like being in the inside of someone's mouth who hasn't brushed or flossed in a long long while.
